
Account Manager- Datacenter

Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Account Manager to join our highly visible team in the Silicon Valley area. The role will support our rapidly growing AI accounts while working for one of the top interconnect solutions providers in the world. As an Account Manager you will be tasked with growing topline revenue and profit. This is achieved through managing an existing portfolio while driving new opportunities. This position carries a high degree of autonomy and will be the primary interface between our customer and Molex. You will have the responsibility for educating this important customer on the value Molex brings to their business and be the primary point of contact with all levels of the client’s organization. You will also interface with many internal Molex roles in support of these customers including Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.
What You Will Do in Your Role
Manage focused business units at the customer to achieve or surpass assigned revenue targets and demand creation pipeline goals. Track and document these actions and results in our Customer Relationship Management tool.
Find desirable revenue opportunities and present them to Business Units for necessary support.
Track and coordinate demand creation activities transitioned to other parts of the world to assure Molex captures this business.
Ongoing development of personal expertise is critical to success in this role.
Become an expert in understanding this customer’s individual strategic business plans.
Develop and maintain engineering relationships within all of your assigned areas, and continually develop technical product skills to effectively sell a wide breadth of Molex offerings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline, or another related field.
5+ years of experience in a sales or account manager role within the electronics or interconnect industry.
5+ years of experience calling on OEMs that design in consumer products with a proven track record of design wins.
Ability to understand customer needs and effectively sell solutions to both the customer and supporting Molex business unit.
Ability to effectively build strategic customer and distributor relationships across a broad span of roles to maximize Molex’s ability to win business.
Travel 20% annual domestic and international travel.
What Will Put You Ahead
Bachelor’s degree, or advanced degree, in Engineering (preferably BSEE, Physics, or Optics), MBA.
Fluent in Mandarin and English.
For this role, we anticipate paying $150,000- $180,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
