Accountable To: Director of Marketing
Overview Of General Responsibilities The Marketing Assistant works with the Director of Marketing to create and distribute content to internal and external audiences that increases leads, enhances customer experiences, and gives everyone the consistent, valuable information they need to have a positive relationship with the Club. The Marketing Assistant will assist with the design and coordination of print media, ads, and sales support documents, as well as internal print needs. The position will also support the digital communities of RVC, including four Club websites and social media presence.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist with the writing, design, and publication of regular monthly communications for all River Valley Club departments, including:
Websites
Emails
Social Media
Screens
Signage
Assist with the writing, design, scheduling, and distribution of digital and print ads
Assist with photo and video shoots
Assist with database and asset organization and management
Additionally: This position may be asked to assist in other areas of RVC. Cooperation is assumed. All staff members work as a team to provide superior service on which RVC bases its reputation.
Requirements
Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite
Intermediate-to-Advanced photography skills
Intermediate-to-Advanced writing skills
Familiarity with website content management systems like WordPress or Joomla
Familiarity with email marketing platforms like Constant Contact or Mailchimp
Familiarity with social media channels and publication best practices
Familiarity with exporting files to appropriate specs for digital vs print needs
Desire to set measurable goals, collect data, review and report on metrics, and make improvements based on what’s been learned
Quick and eager to understand technology as we work across many platforms and are always looking to advance communication methods
Personal Qualities And Expectations (including Special Demands)
Ability to manage many different projects at the same time
Ability to meet frequent deadlines for internal and external audiences needing content produced in a timely and clear manner
Ability to be friendly, flexible, and positive in a dynamic working environment where responsibilities change daily
Ability to solve problems with logic and creativity
Physical Demands And Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This role needs to assist with photo and video production including the carrying, installation, and use of photo and video production equipment.
