Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago is a nationally recognized institution dedicated to fostering curiosity, creativity, and self-discovery in children from birth to age 8. Located in Glenview, IL, the Museum offers 17 interactive and hands-on exhibits that attract more than 330,000 visitors annually. All exhibits and programming align with the State of Illinois Learning Standards for children up to 3rd grade and prioritize universal design principles to welcome guests with diverse abilities. The Museum is committed to community engagement through programs like Early Childhood Connections, which provides resources to underserved communities, and Everyone at Play, which creates inclusive, sensory-friendly experiences for children with special needs. Role Description Do you love telling great stories, building buzz, and creating the kind of “I’ve-gotta-share-this” moments people can’t resist? Are you energized by data and creativity? Do you light up at the idea of helping families discover a place designed just for kids?

If so, you might be our next Marketing Manager.

We’re looking for a strategic, imaginative, endlessly curious marketer with 5–7 years of experience—and a track record of running successful campaigns for a nonprofit organization or consumer brand. You’ll lead multi-channel campaigns, shape our digital voice, and help bring more families, partners, and community members through our doors.

Qualifications

Marketing and Public Relations skills, including the ability to develop and implement marketing campaigns and handle media relations effectively

Digital Marketing and Social Media Management expertise with experience in developing engaging content and monitoring campaign performance

Content Development and Editing skills with the ability to craft compelling copy that aligns with the brand’s voice and goals

Strategic Planning and Data Analysis skills to evaluate marketing efforts and optimize future campaigns

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders

Proficiency in design tools or platforms for marketing material creation is a plus

Experience in nonprofit or education-focused organizations is beneficial

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; relevant professional experience is highly valued
