Job Description Governor Abigail Spanberger is seeking an organized, hard-working team player to serve as Digital Manager in the Office of the Governor. The Digital Manager will create branding and digital assets, manage social media platforms, and work to share Governor Spanberger’s message across digital platforms. The Digital Manager will report directly to the Communications Director. This is a full-time position based in Richmond, Virginia.
Job Responsibilities
Help develop and execute an integrated digital strategy — including but not limited to social media, content creation, and website management
Manage the Digital Associate
Assist with internal digital operations and processes
Lead on drafting and posting social media copy across platforms
Identify new opportunities for online engagement and track digital trends to further amplify the Governor’s message
Assist with capturing content as needed
Track analytics and data
All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
At least (3) three years of professional experience managing social media platforms for a public official, organization, brand, or political candidate
Proficiency in graphic design software or programs, such as Canva or Adobe Suite
Excellent writing skills and close attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage and complete multiple projects under competing and tight deadlines
