RKMB, LLC is seeking a Sr Designer to lead contemporary RTW and denim design across House of Harlow 1960 and Torn by Ronny Kobo.
We are looking for a highly creative, commercially minded designer with a strong knitwear background and a refined contemporary aesthetic. This role requires someone who can translate emerging trends into elevated, collection-driven product while balancing innovation, cost, and brand integrity.
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the full product lifecycle — from concept through production — in close partnership with cross‑functional teams and overseas factories.
Responsibilities:
Lead design for women’s contemporary ready‑to‑wear, fully fashioned knitwear, and denim categories, overseeing the product lifecycle from concept through final production
Drive seasonal concept development, R&D, sourcing, and technical execution
Manage and mentor the design team and technical designer
Research and forecast emerging trends, identifying new product and business opportunities
Shop the marketplace for inspiration and competitive analysis
Source yarns and fabrics; manage sample material development and approvals
Present seasonal concepts and development progress to leadership throughout the design cycle
Build and merchandise seasonal line plans; evolve best‑selling styles to align with business goals
Develop and maintain seasonal calendars, line plans, and WIP tracking
Oversee all development and production fittings; provide clear direction to technical design on fit and garment adjustments
Design within cost targets while maintaining brand integrity
Communicate daily with overseas factories; partner closely with Production to ensure on‑time delivery
Travel to Asia‑based factories as needed to oversee development and production
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales and Marketing on e‑commerce photoshoots
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in contemporary apparel design and development
Strong expertise in fully fashioned knitwear; experience in woven fabrics and denim preferred
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; strong Microsoft Excel skills
Digital hand‑sketching proficiency (Procreate or similar) a plus
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
BA in Fashion Design or related field
