This is a full-time, on-site position based at our headquarters in Overland Park, KS. Candidates must currently reside in the Kansas City Metro area or be in the process of relocating prior to the start date. Job Title: HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner) FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: HR Director Position Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and operational partner to Regional Operations leadership across multiple warehouse locations within a fast-paced 3PL environment. This role aligns HR strategies with business objectives to drive performance, strengthen workforce capability, and ensure consistent execution of people initiatives across the network. The HRBP provides leadership in employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, performance management, compliance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness while supporting high-volume, hourly workforce operations. This position requires strong business acumen, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence leaders at all levels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Strategic Partnership Partner with Regional Directors and Site Leaders to align HR strategies with operational goals, productivity targets, and customer commitments. Provide consultative support on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and leadership development. Translate business strategy into actionable people initiatives across multiple warehouse locations. Analyze workforce metrics (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, productivity, engagement) and provide insights and recommendations. Employee Relations & Compliance Complete initial intake of employee relations issues and work with employee relations team on investigations and conflict resolution across sites. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and company policies. Support corrective action processes, performance documentation, and policy interpretation. Partner with safety and operations to reinforce a compliant and safe workplace culture. Partners closely training team on scheduling and deploying role specific trainings for new hires, including day one forklift hiring and certification process across locations. Talent & Workforce Management Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support high-volume recruiting strategies for warehouse and operations roles. Support onboarding initiatives to reduce early turnover and improve retention. Identify skills gaps and partner on training and development initiatives. Drive succession planning efforts for frontline leadership roles (Supervisors, Managers). Performance Management & Engagement Support companywide performance review processes across assigned regions. Coach leaders on feedback delivery, goal setting, and development planning. Support engagement initiatives and action planning based on survey results. Promote a high-performance and pay for performance culture aligned with company core values. Compensation & Workforce Analytics Partner with compensation team to ensure market competitiveness within regional labor markets. Support merit planning, promotions, and internal equity reviews. Monitor labor trends and workforce costs to ensure operational alignment. Works closely with regional directors on workforce planning and daily labor planning initiatives, ensuring labor planning tools are used and adopted across the operations teams. Handles data analytics and reporting to support compensation, workforce initiatives, and other strategic initiatives to control labor and cost at the operations levels. Change Management Support change initiatives such as new site start-ups, customer transitions, restructures, and peak season ramp-ups. Provide HR oversight during organizational changes and workforce adjustments. Project manages from the HR strategic side to support change management and company initiatives into the operations. The Person | Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in 3PL, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or high-volume operations. Experience supporting multi-site, geographically dispersed warehouse environments. Strong background in employee relations and employment law. Strong reporting and analytical skills. The employee is frequently required to use hands to type, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. While infrequent, employee may need to visit warehouse locations in which employee may need to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, drive (vehicle), stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
