
Employee Relations Generalist I

Redwood Credit Union is seeking an Employee Relations Generalist I, who will provide outstanding service, coordinate a variety of human resources activities in support of Redwood Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Values and Service Standards. Responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding of team members, employee lifecycle support, maintaining HRIS and recordkeeping and general administration.
Key Responsibilities as assigned Administration
Facilitate ergonomic programs for all team members.
Exercise sound judgment and discretion in the collection and dissemination of information; ensure that highly sensitive, proprietary, and confidential information is released only to those authorized.
Administrate and process full cycle onboarding and offboarding.
Maintain filing and record keeping systems including team member files, benefit files, I-9’s, and records retention schedule.
Distribute department internal and external mail.
Support NMLS process including reporting, annual renewal and maintenance of registrations.
Update and manage content on RCUNet.
HRIS/Recordkeeping
Support administrator for HRIS & recordkeeping systems to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information.
Process employee lifecycle changes, ensuring proper approvals are received.
Act as a liaison between Employee Relations, Payroll and IT, for team member lifecycle changes.
Employee Relations
Promote employee relations and RCU with team members at all levels when interacting with staff or answering questions.
Respond to and refer all employee relations concerns to resolve issues and answer questions as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience in a human resources role.
Adept at working with HRIS systems and generating reports.
Basic knowledge of benefits administration.
Current knowledge of California and federal labor laws, rules, and regulations.
Outstanding computer and technology skills (Microsoft Suite) and Intranet and Internet experience.
Strong service orientation.
Ability to thrive in a changing, deadline-oriented environment that requires attention to detail.
Must be professional, diplomatic, and able to serve a wide range of team members with equity, fairness, and tact.
Ability to work and act independently with discretion.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to analyze situations and recommend workable solutions.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
Licenses and Certifications
HR Certification is a plus.
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in human resource management, business or closely related field and a minimum of two years office administration experience including experience working within the human resources function.
Compensation: Base starting range: $27.00 to $35.00 hourly commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
