Founding Product Designer / Design Engineer

High-growth AI software startup is hiring its first designer to help shape both the product and the brand from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join as an early member of the founding team and have real influence on how the product is built.
You’ll work directly with engineering and leadership to design complex product workflows, create intuitive user experiences, and establish the design systems and visual foundation for a highly interactive software platform.
Requirements
Product design experience building complex software or SaaS applications
Expert-level Figma skills with experience building or contributing to design systems
Portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design, product thinking, and user flow architecture
Strong visual design sensibility and ability to create cohesive product and brand systems
Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams in fast-paced product environments
Degree from a well-regarded university or design program, particularly in fields such as Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, or related disciplines
Responsibilities
Lead product design across the platform including user flows, interfaces, and interaction patterns
Partner closely with engineering and leadership to translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive product experiences
Design and prototype new features while helping establish a scalable design system
Own brand design across marketing website, documentation, and visual assets
Bonus
Front-end development experience or comfort prototyping with modern AI-assisted tools
Experience working as an early or founding designer at a startup
Background designing complex SaaS platforms or highly interactive software products
You will work closely with the founding team and play a key role in shaping both the product experience and design foundation as the company grows.
