Grounds Crew Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Grounds Crew Foreman to lead our team in maintaining a well manicured golf course, have strong organizational and communication skills, and have the ability to determine efficient methods for landscaping maintenance.

In addition to managing a crew, the Foreman must have experience in team leadership, equipment operation, proper pruning techniques, general landscaping practices and irrigation management.

Candidate will have the opportunity to become an Assistant Golf Superintendent if interested and meets skill requirements.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Supervise and lead a team in tasks such as mowing, planting, trimming, fertilizing, etc. to enhance the grounds' aesthetics.

Operate various mowers, string trimmers, edges cart paths, bunkers, sprinkler heads, and helps maintain sand bunkers.

Collaborate with management daily to develop and execute plans for ongoing landscape improvements.

Monitor and manage moisture levels in the landscape, ensuring appropriate hydration for plant and turf health.

Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure a cohesive approach to landscaping maintenance.

Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of small equipment.

Working knowledge of an ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.

Ability to follow oral and written directions.

Be able to lift light weight equipment.

Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
