About the Company A well-established structural building component manufacturer in the Midwest is seeking a Truss Designer to join its growing team. The company manufactures high-quality trusses used in agricultural, residential, and commercial construction projects and has built a strong reputation for reliability, precision, and long‑standing builder relationships.

Position Summary The Truss Designer will produce accurate, production‑ready roof and floor truss designs and layouts using Eagle TrueBuild (preferred) or similar truss design software.
This is a hands‑on design role working closely with sales and production teams to develop efficient, code‑compliant structural solutions. The position does not include direct management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Design roof and floor truss systems using truss design software (Eagle TrueBuild preferred)
Review and interpret architectural and structural plans to develop accurate truss layouts
Ensure designs comply with building codes, engineering requirements, and company standards
Collaborate with sales and production teams to clarify project scope and optimize designs for manufacturing
Revise and update designs based on customer feedback, field conditions, or engineering changes
Assist with material lists, design documentation, and job file organization
Required Qualifications
2+ years of truss or structural component design experience
Proficiency with truss design software (Eagle TrueBuild or comparable)
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
Strong understanding of basic structural load paths
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must be able to work on‑site in Sardinia, Ohio
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
3–7 years of truss/component design experience
Experience with residential, agricultural, or commercial projects
Experience working in a truss manufacturing plant environment
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Paradigm
