What’s The Job? We are looking for an experienced
District Sales Manager
(DSM) to lead sales efforts across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. This is a remote role for a self‑motivated sales professional already established and living within the territory.
You’ll be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and supporting distributors, engineers, and OEMs with technical and commercial expertise. The DSM will promote Asahi/America’s industry‑leading thermoplastic valves, actuation, and piping systems while strengthening customer relationships and uncovering new opportunities.
What You Will Own. In this role, you will take full ownership of a strategic sales territory, executing a focused plan to meet and exceed sales goals while expanding Asahi/America’s presence in the market. You will build and strengthen relationships with distributors, engineers, contractors, and end users, positioning yourself as a trusted partner and technical resource. Through joint sales calls, product training sessions, and technical presentations, you will help customers identify the right solutions while securing project specifications and closing new opportunities. You’ll manage your pipeline with discipline using CRM tools to track opportunities, forecast revenue, and report market intelligence. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll ensure customers receive exceptional support throughout the sales process. You will also represent Asahi/America at trade shows and industry events, strengthening brand visibility and creating new opportunities for growth.
What Separates You From The Rest. You bring a strong mix of technical understanding, sales discipline, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Distribution, or a related field — or equivalent industry experience — provides the foundation for your success. With at least five years of technical or industrial sales experience, you have a proven track record of winning business in B2B or channel‑driven markets. Experience with plastic valves, piping systems, actuation, or fluid control technologies is highly valued and will allow you to quickly establish credibility with customers and partners. You are an effective communicator and presenter who excels at building trust with distributors, engineers, and end users. You are comfortable using CRM tools such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office to manage opportunities and drive sales activity. Most importantly, you are energized by being in the field and are willing to travel up to 50% within your assigned territory to build relationships and grow the business.
Why You’ll Love Working Here. Since 1971, Asahi/America has built a reputation as a leader in thermoplastic piping systems through innovation, reliability, and exceptional customer relationships. Our people are the driving force behind our continued growth and industry leadership.
When you join Asahi/America, you become part of a team that values expertise, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Day‑one benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability. 401(k) with generous company match — fully vested at hire. Continuing education reimbursement.
Quality products. Trusted partnerships. Proven success — that’s Asahi/America.
Compensation Transparency. Salary Range: $89,100.00 – $116,500.00 per year plus commissions and bonuses.
The pay range shown represents what we expect to offer in good faith for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will depend on several factors—such as education, experience, certifications, skills, performance, shift, location, and business needs.
