Sales Manager Hilton Garden Inn – Ridgefield Park, NJ

Position Summary The Sales Manager is responsible for generating hotel revenue by developing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, group accounts, and local businesses. This role focuses on identifying new sales opportunities, managing key accounts, negotiating contracts, and achieving room night and revenue targets for the hotel.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Generation

Prospect and develop new corporate, group, and local business accounts.

Drive room revenue through proactive sales activities, networking, and client visits.

Respond to RFPs, leads, and inquiries in a timely manner.

Negotiate and close contracts for group bookings, meetings, and events.

Achieve monthly and annual revenue and room night targets.

Account Management

Maintain strong relationships with existing corporate clients and travel partners.

Manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Conduct site visits, hotel tours, and client presentations.

Ensure client expectations are communicated clearly to hotel operations teams.

Market & Business Development

Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and local demand to develop sales strategies.

Identify new market segments and business opportunities.

Participate in community networking events, trade shows, and industry associations.

Coordination & Operations

Coordinate guest requirements including rooms, meeting spaces, and food & beverage needs.

Work closely with the Director of Sales, General Manager, and revenue management team.

Ensure proper handoff of group bookings to operations for flawless event execution.

Reporting & Administration

Maintain accurate sales records and CRM database.

Prepare weekly sales reports and revenue forecasts.

Track production and performance against sales goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

2–3 years of hotel sales experience preferred (Prior Hilton Experience is required).

Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems (Delphi, OnQ, Salesforce, or similar).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
