About the Role As an Insurance Representative, you would act as a reliable and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support our insurance agency with policy servicing and administrative tasks. This role focuses on assisting existing clients, processing policy changes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day agency operations.
This is a non-sales position. The CSR will focus on delivering excellent service to our clients and supporting the agency team.
Work Environment This role involves daily interaction with clients and insurance carriers and requires strong attention to detail and professionalism. The CSR plays a key role in maintaining excellent service standards for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with policy servicing requests such as:
Policy changes
Coverage updates
Address or billing changes
ID cards and certificates
Process endorsements and policy updates through carrier systems
Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in person
Review policies for accuracy and assist with documentation
Handle billing questions and payment processing
Enter and update client policy information in the agency management system
Maintain accurate and complete client records within the agency management system
Prepare and maintain reports as needed
Follow up with insurance carriers regarding policy changes or questionsSupport the agency with administrative tasks and client communications
Collaborate closely with our lending sister company to manage their lender-placed insurance policies
Help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention
Required Skills & Qualifications
Previous customer service experience preferred
Insurance agency experience is a plus but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
High attention to detail
Comfortable working with computer systems and CRM/agency software
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an insurance agency
Familiarity with agency management systems
Active Property & Casualty insurance license (preferred but not required)
