Your role in helping us shape the future: U.S. News is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Operations Intern to join the team. This role is specifically designed for a rising junior or senior looking to gain professional experience in the 'engine room' of a major media and technology company.
Reporting directly to the Revenue Operations Lead, you will provide critical support across various teams and help maintain the data integrity that powers our sales and marketing strategies. You will work at the intersection of sales, data, and technology, gaining a front-row seat to how cross-functional teams collaborate to drive revenue growth.
Are you up to the challenge?
CRM Administration & Hygiene: Assist the Lead with the daily maintenance of the CRM. Perform regular audits to identify and fix data inaccuracies, merge duplicate records, and ensure all entries follow established naming conventions. General data entry, manipulation, and cleaning to keep the system organized and actionable.
Reporting Support: Help create and update sales dashboards that provide leadership with insights into pipeline health and revenue performance.
Process Documentation: Work closely with the RevOps Lead to draft and update internal ‘how-to’ guides and training materials for our sales and customer success teams.
Position Requirements Education Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field.
Technical Aptitude Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and basic formulas are a must). Familiarity with any CRM (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot) is highly preferred.
Analytical Mindset A proactive approach to problem-solving and an ‘eagle eye’ for detail when working with large datasets.
Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical processes to non-technical users.
Minimum Requirements
Eligible candidates must be one of the following:
Part‑time or full‑time students who have completed 48+ credit hours (rising juniors/seniors and graduate students) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
Part‑time or full‑time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in the workplace.
Effective communicator in both written and spoken English.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite and Google Docs.
3.0 GPA or above preferred.
Summer Intern Program Description
10 weeks; starting on Monday, June 1, 2026 through Friday, Aug 7, 2026.
We expect interns to work 37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
All candidates must be able to work a hybrid in‑office work schedule from our Washington, DC or New York offices.
Internship pays $17.50 per hour.
Interns will be paired with a buddy (a mentor) in their office location for the duration of their internship.
