Designer, Men’s Footwear & Accessories
Job Summary
Rag & Bone is looking for a Men’s Footwear & Accessories Designer to help shape the next evolution of our footwear and accessory categories. This role will report into the Head of Men's Design. The role focuses on designing footwear alongside a growing assortment of accessories including belts, bags, small leather goods, and seasonal accessories. You will work closely with the Head of Men’s Design to develop product that reflects the brand’s balance of heritage, craft, and modern utility. The ideal candidate has strong footwear design experience, a refined eye for materials and construction, and the ability to translate creative ideas into commercially viable product.
What You’ll Do Design Footwear Collections
Design seasonal men’s footwear across categories including sneakers, boots, and casual footwear.
Develop original silhouettes, constructions, and sole concepts aligned with brand direction.
Create detailed design sketches, technical drawings, and concept boards.
Work closely with development partners and factories to bring designs to life.
Design Men’s Accessories
Design accessories including belts, bags, small leather goods, and seasonal accessories.
Develop products that complement the seasonal collection and support key product stories.
Identify opportunities to expand and elevate the accessories assortment.
Drive Creative Direction
Research and present inspiration across culture, materials, and product innovation.
Explore new materials, hardware, and construction techniques.
Partner with design leadership to ensure footwear and accessories align with the broader collection.
Development & Execution
Partner closely with Product Development to manage the development process from concept through final sample.
Review prototypes and samples, providing clear feedback to vendors and factories.
Ensure product meets standards for quality, fit, and brand positioning.
Materials & Detail
Collaborate with materials and sourcing teams to identify leathers, fabrics, hardware, and trims.
Develop unique design details that differentiate product in the market.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Merchandising and Product teams to ensure designs support category growth and commercial goals.
Work with Marketing and Creative teams to support storytelling around footwear and accessories.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years footwear design experience within premium or contemporary brands.
3+ years accessories design experience (belts, bags, small leather goods preferred).
Strong knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Experience designing sneakers and casual footwear silhouettes.
Strong understanding of the men’s market and trends.
Strong sketching ability and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Experience working with overseas factories and development partners.
Strong eye for proportion, materials, and detail.

The salary for this position is 115,000-130,000 based on candidate experience and expectations.
