JOB SUMMARY This position functions as the project manager for development activities as they pertain to IT Infrastructure. It also serves as a proxy for the Director of Infrastructure in his absence. The position will be a part of the ITS Leadership team.

MAJOR DUTIES This position is the primary contact for PCI and HIPAA compliance for ITS.

Functions as the project lead for the Infrastructure group when involved with other ITS teams.

The position also supports and must greatly contribute to a collaborative customer service team environment, proactively sharing information across the team, establishing documentation, workshops with team members and enhancing an interactive team setting with consistent knowledge sharing.

Assist the Director of Infrastructure with the following:

Coordinate information technology operations and maintenance

Coordinate activities with third‑party support and equipment vendors

Receive and delegate incoming work tickets, calls and email

Relies on knowledge, professional discretion, and significant ingenuity, to achieve goals

Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures

Oversees the installation, configuration and ongoing maintenance of networked information systems

Recommends and schedules technology improvements, upgrades, and repairs impacting the whole of NSU

Support the development and supervises the implementation of new computer projects and new hardware and software installations

Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK The work consists of varied duties in the coordination of campus IT client services. The need to respond to unforeseen problems contributes to the complexity of the position.

The purpose of this position is to coordinate the disbursement of information technology as offered to the university. This active vital position supports the efforts of ITS leadership in the promotion of technology initiatives that are in line with the mission, vision and values of NSU. Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of a variety of campus functions.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS The Infrastructure Director assigns work in terms of general instructions. Work is spot‑checked for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.

GUIDELINES Guidelines include the service catalog and department policies and procedures. These guidelines are generally clear and specific, but may require some interpretation in application.

CONTACTS Contacts are typically with co‑workers, other university personnel, faculty, staff, students, vendors, and members of the public. Contacts are typically to give or exchange information, to resolve problems, or to provide services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light objects and climbs ladders. The work is typically performed in an office.

SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY This position has direct supervision over personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a bachelor’s degree in an area of specialty.

Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, having had a similar position for at least 5 years.

Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS CCNA, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, ACSA, PMP, CSM, CAPM.

Annual salary $59,100.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time. Anticipated hire date: 04/13/2026. Applications will be accepted until: 03/22/2026.
