Your passion: You are committed to leading and developing the Calvary Kids ministry at the Boca campus by creating environments where children and families can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. You equip volunteers, develop leaders, and ensure ministry environments are safe, organized, welcoming, and biblically grounded. You deeply partner with parents, discipling the next generation, and building a ministry culture that reflects the heart and mission of Calvary Chapel.
You are passionate about raising up leaders who shepherd and support volunteers, ensuring that ministry environments thrive through healthy leadership rather than relying on staff to fill operational gaps.
You are:

Committed to equipping and encouraging volunteers and leaders in ministry
You will: Provide leadership and oversight for Calvary Kids ministry on the Boca campus
Lead and support all Calvary Kids environments including nursery, preschool, and elementary
Ensure ministry environments are safe, welcoming, and spiritually intentional
Oversee the execution of weekend ministry services and special events
Maintain alignment with the mission, culture, and values of Calvary Chapel
Recruit, train, and develop volunteers serving in Calvary Kids
Identify and recruit volunteers with a heart for serving children and families
Ensure all volunteers are properly onboarded, trained, and supported
Foster a culture where volunteers feel encouraged, valued, and equipped
Maintain clear expectations and communication with all volunteers
Develop and support a healthy Team Leader structure
Provide clear written role descriptions for Team Leaders
Equip Team Leaders to support volunteers and oversee classroom environments
Lead monthly Team Leader meetings for vision, training, and alignment
Conduct regular check-ins to encourage and develop leaders
Ensure weekly ministry readiness and organization
Oversee volunteer scheduling through Planning Center
Maintain clear volunteer coverage priorities for ministry roles
Ensure classrooms are prepared with curriculum, materials, and supplies
Equip Team Leaders to manage classroom readiness and volunteer support
Provide oversight of biblical teaching and curriculum
Ensure all Calvary Kids curriculum clearly teaches the Word of God
Equip volunteers and leaders to confidently teach biblical lessons
Occasionally teach or support teaching within Calvary Kids environments
Maintain a spiritually intentional environment where children are encouraged to know and follow Jesus
Partner with parents in the discipleship of their children
Help develop communication tools and resources for parents
Support family engagement through events and ministry opportunities
Encourage strong partnerships between parents and the church
Provide biblical guidance and encouragement when appropriate
Support church-wide initiatives and campus events
Assist with major church events that involve children or families
Collaborate with other ministry departments when needed
Ensure Calvary Kids environments support the broader mission of the church
You have:
A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ
A strong commitment to the philosophy and Statement of Faith of Calvary Chapel
Proven ability to lead and develop teams and volunteers
Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to interact effectively with children, parents, volunteers, and staff
Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to clearly communicate ideas, expectations, and vision
The spiritual gifts of leadership, teaching, administration, service, and discernment
A love for children and families
A love for teaching the Word of God with a strong working knowledge of Scripture
The ability to provide biblical counsel and encouragement when needed
Strong organizational and administrative skills
The ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple tasks, and follow through on projects
Experience using digital tools and ministry platforms such as Planning Center or similar systems
Flexibility with strong time management skills
An understanding of child development and children’s ministry environments
What you are required to know:
We are an EEO employer.
You may have to bend, sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 35 lbs.
This is a full-time (40+ hours/week) salaried exempt position.
You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events, services, or emergencies.

Work Schedule: Staff culture is important to what we do. To love like family, we require all staff to attend all staff meetings, department meetings and serve with a willing heart especially at all major campus events. Full-time (40+ hours/week): however, may be required to work an evening or weekend day to help with a special event or project or in an emergency situation affecting the church facilities.
