Product Analyst, Retail Energy

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our growing team. This individual will support product development and delivery efforts across the business. This work will include new product development, product implementation across pricing, portfolio, and billing functions, and existing product improvements. This function plays a crucial role in aligning customer needs with systems and capabilities, ensuring proper pricing, book valuation, and tracking of customer exposures relative to expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the product development lifecycle from product design to execution, including:

Creating product roadmaps for implementation

Assist in determining best practices to improve or construct product design that meet the current data, granularity and visibility needs of pricing, billing and portfolio management systems

Establish product requirements, curve and cost design to adhere to systems capabilities and constraints

Interact with product platform and 3rd party vendors to oversee product testing for QA, UAT and Production stages

Oversee Product definitions, libraries and curve utilization to ensure clarity and system control

Maintain timelines and provide project status reports to stakeholders and company leadership

Bring structure and organization to evolving projects, helping to simplify and clarify next steps

Provide ad-hoc support to test and maintain product suite

Assist with Sales and product presentations to brokers and customers

Deliver training sessions for new product releases to sales, pricing, portfolio and other stakeholders within the organization

Produce and maintain documentation related to the product suite and downstream functionality

Collaborate with environmental and demand response teams on product integration and automation

Support new and existing retail energy products and market development across and in coordination with:

Pricing

Portfolio Management Billing Operations

Information Technology

Third Party Vendors

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field

2+ years previous related work experience, retail energy experience preferred but not required

Ability and experience learning new skills, functions, or markets

Ability to quickly gain proficiency and self-sufficiency in Freepoint systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and/or other analytical suites

Project oriented focus with an ability to manage multiple ongoing projects concurrently

Assist with other projects as assigned by Management
