ASAP Program Director for Recruitment and Program Support (HEO) POSITION DETAILS The Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, is a vibrant, pluralistic learning community committed to students' intellectual and personal growth. ASAP supports motivated students earn an associate's degree within three years. The program emphasizes enriched academic, financial, and personal support, including comprehensive and personalized advisement, career development, academic support services, scholarships, MTA OMNY cards, and textbook funding. BMCC ASAP is the largest ASAP at CUNY, supporting over 5700 students each year.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director for Recruitment and Program Support is responsible for vision, strategic planning and the implementation of initiatives designed to promote student success.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

Supervise teams responsible for Academic Support Services, Career Development, Engagement, Financial Aid, Operations, Recruitment, and Database Management

Direct the creation and implementation of strategies to achieve annual recruitment targets, financial aid application completion, engagement goals, and career benchmarks for over 5700 students

Manage the collection and integrity of program queries to track student success and the submission of reports

Supervise the management of office operations

Manage the development and approval of marketing materials and outreach efforts for recruitment and engagement programming

Represent BMCC ASAP at various college and University meetings

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum: Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline with a minimum of eight years related experience.

Preferred:

Master's preferred

Strong understanding and interest in serving students from diverse backgrounds

Creative and adaptable with strong analytical and interpersonal skills

Program development experience, including experience implementing new, multi-faceted initiatives with strict deadlines and evolving priorities

Experience with data management and tracking to promote student success

Strong strategic project management and facilitation experience

Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills

Collaborative leader with experience working with cross‑functional teams

Flexibility working with faculty, administrators, students and external stakeholders

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), databases, project

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW

Develops and implements policy to meet the Program's mission, collaborating with other College units

Administers a comprehensive portfolio of services, and assesses the various components of the ASAP program to improve services to students

Provides a highly‑supportive environment by overseeing staff such as advisors and job developers and by developing relevant programs, workshops, and activities

Manages tracking, reporting, and analysis of outcomes data, and systems to track and manage individual students' progress

Manages staff and budget consistent with program goals

Performs related duties as assigned

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary range is $109,898 - $122,201; commensurate with qualifications, education and experience
