Our client is looking for an ADA Digital Accessibility Specialist. The ADA Digital Accessibility Specialist supports by assisting the organization with ADA Compliance for web sites, web and mobile applications/content, online forms and documents to meet or exceed the Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) related to Digital Accessibility. Tasks This is a hands-on role which will be responsible for the discovery and remediation of current digital accessibility issues. This role will also be responsible for creating internal workflows and trainings to establish ongoing compliance with digital accessibility requirements. The incumbent will be expected to lead these efforts based on extensive knowledge of ADA digital accessibility requirements, associated technology, and organizational change management. The ADA Digital Accessibility Specialist creates, updates and develops accessibility content, testing processes and procedures for specific internal groups to improve teamwork, efficiency and will be expected to educate and provide staff with technical support in creating accessible web sites and content, conventional documents, data dashboards, web applications, videos and other digital information that is created. The ADA Digital Accessibility Specialist will assist individuals and teams in using tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro, WAVE, Lighthouse, Color Contrast Analyzer, NVDA Screen Reader, Microsoft accessibility checkers and manual keyboard navigation techniques to ensure that people using assistive technology are able to access our programs, services and activities while following federal and state guidelines for accessibility. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Candidate must display drive and urgency in getting tasks completed quickly and independently Strong problem determination and resolution skills. Excellent verbal, written and customer service skills. Ability to work independently, or with little supervision as well as the ability to work as a member of a team. Skills Required

2-4 years - ADA Accessibility experience with websites, applications, forms, PDF and conventional documents. 2-4 years - Hands-on experience in using tools like WAVE, Lighthouse, NVDA, Acrobat PRO, manual keyboard testing. Knowledge of disability law including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA), industry standards and best practices. Extensive knowledge of web communication accessibility barriers. Knowledge of Internet/Intranet application design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance methodologies. Knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, database tools, graphic design tools, and page layout tools. Developing documentation or checklists for staff Professional collaboration across all levels of the organization.
