Schaus-Vorhies Contracting is a well-established pre-engineered metal building erection company with over 40 years in business.
We are currently hiring experienced Steel Erectors / PEMB Installers to join our growing crew.
If you have at least 1 year of experience in metal building construction or structural steel erection, we want to talk to you!
This role includes all phases of pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) construction, including:
Structural steel frames
Girts and purlins
Wall and roof panels
Insulation systems
Trim and flashing
Gutters and downspouts
Specialty project components as required
This is a hands-on, physical work performed outdoors and at heights.
Schedule & Travel
Monday–Friday
8–10 hour days
Overtime frequently available
Occasional Saturdays based on project deadlines
Per diem for projects outside Fairfield, IA
Hotel provided for overnight work
Company pool vehicle available for travel to/from job sites
Requirements
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to work at heights above 15 feet
Must be 18 years or older
Willingness to work overtime
Pre-employment drug screen required
All company-provided fall protection (PFAS and retractable lanyards) is supplied. Personal fall protection equipment must be inspected prior to use on job sites.
