Senior Director of Compliance
to join and support our dynamic teams
throughout California, Colorado and Arizona.
In this role, you will ensure regulatory excellence across the Winn-managed portfolio. Under the leadership of the Senior Vice President, the Senior Director of Compliance will oversee the day-to-day compliance operations, drive strategic partnerships, and lead a team of dedicated Compliance Team members to uphold the integrity of affordable housing programs, including HUD, LIHTC, Rural Development, and Tax‑Exempt Bond initiatives. The Senior Director of Compliance is responsible for providing expert guidance on compliance issues, resolving challenges promptly to ensure the asset's success and continued regulatory adherence.
Please note that the pay range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000 annually. Final salary will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Additionally, the selected candidate will typically work: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
Responsibilities
Provide guidance in the onboarding of new properties through analysis and interpretation of regulatory documents and system setup, as needed.
Participate in corporate initiatives, policy review and revision, and interpretation of new or changing compliance policies and regulations, and disseminate information and training as necessary to various departments in a clear, easy‑to‑understand manner.
Act as a liaison and consult with various departments, agencies, investors, third‑party compliance vendors, and/or clients through meetings, conference calls, helpdesk ticket completion, etc., to efficiently respond to compliance‑related inquiries or concerns.
Act as Secure Systems and Section 504 Coordinator.
Design, develop and deliver trainings for regional compliance staff and/or Operations as requested or business needs demand.
May be assigned specific client(s) on a temporary or permanent basis contingent on business needs.
May oversee one or more direct reports in performance of their duties, to include:
Monitoring lease ups and/or program conversions;
Monitoring of property performance.
Adherence to various affordable housing regulations
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
5 - 8 years of relevant work experience in various affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, Project‑Based Section 8, and Rural Development.
3 - 5 years of Required Supervisory/Management Experience.
A current driver's license in good standing and the ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company's Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
Ability to travel up to 50%, throughout the region, which includes CA, CO, & AZ.
Effective communication, multitasking, central focus customer service, resourceful and resilient on project, creative problem solving, independent resolution while maintaining compliance.
