Job Description Job Summary:
The Curriculum and Instructional Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs that enhance student achievement. This role works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and district leadership to ensure curriculum alignment, instructional effectiveness, and continuous improvement across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and revise curriculum to ensure alignment with state standards and district goals
Support the implementation of instructional best practices and research-based strategies
Provide coaching and professional development for teachers and instructional staff
Analyze student performance data to guide instructional decisions and curriculum improvements
Collaborate with school administrators to monitor and improve instructional quality
Assist in the selection and implementation of instructional materials and resources
Ensure compliance with state and federal educational requirements
Participate in district planning, committees, and leadership initiatives
Other duties as requested by the Superintendent
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field (required)
1–3 years of administrative experience (required)
Must hold Arkansas Educator’s License
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies
Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable plans
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Experience in professional development and instructional coaching
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Knowledge of current educational trends, standards, and assessment practices
Work Environment:
Primarily office and school-based settings
Occasional travel will be required to attend conferences and Coop meetings
Terms of Employment:
Salary and contract to be determined by the district
Benefits provided according to district policy
