DEPARTMENT Tulalip Child Support Program
JOB SUMMARY The Court Processing Specialist provides essential administrative support to the Tulalip Child Support Program (TCSP). This position ensures effective case management and compliance with the Tulalip Tribal Child Support Code (TTC Chapter 4.10), Title IV-D requirements, and program standard operating procedures. The Court Processing Specialist prepares and serves legal documents, organizes case files, maintains accurate records in the Client Management System (CMS), supports the attorneys and enforcement officers in court preparation. The position also performs specific legal‑related duties, including legal research, reviewing child support worksheets, and assisting with drafting court orders. Confidentiality, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity is essential.
COMPENSATION $25.31 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year‑for‑year basis.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of experience in a legal office, court system, or child support program performing legal assistant or paralegal duties.
Two (2) years of experience in a position that required compliance with confidentiality.
Experience drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents.
Experience with legal terminology, court procedures, and maintaining case files.
SKILLS TESTING
Typing 35 WPM
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
WA State Driver's License. Personal Auto Insurance
Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation. Abstract Required
Buccal Swab certification. Will allow three (3) months to obtain.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT This is a regular full‑time position.
