Role Overview As a Technical Designer you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Supporting proposal and presentation efforts through CAD models and illustrations.
Supporting hardware procurement, including interfacing with machine shops.
Assisting program development efforts by generating Bill of Materials for assemblies, soliciting quotes from suppliers, tracking delivery dates and on‑time status, resolving issues, and providing updates to Program Managers.
Assisting Development and Test Engineers in conducting lab and field tests, set‑up/tear‑down of sensors and cameras, and assembly test articles and fixtures.
Supporting prototyping, hardware assembly, development, testing, and product qualification as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
Proficiency in SolidWorks; 2+ years of related experience preferred.
Experience creating CAD drawings and models.
Familiarity with drawing conventions, including geometric tolerances.
Strong mechanical aptitude and creativity in problem solving.
Ability to read drawings and technical diagrams.
Self‑motivated, able to multi‑task, work independently with minimal oversight.
Good communication and customer relationship skills.
U.S. Citizen.
Ability to hold or obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
Salary Salary Range: $60k-$75k
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job‑related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
