product protection, branding requirements, manufacturing efficiency, and cost control .
Acts as a key liaison between
sales, graphics, customers, and manufacturing teams
to deliver high-quality packaging solutions from concept to production.
Core Responsibilities
Design & Prototyping: Develops packaging (RSCs, mailers, trays, displays) using specialized software.
CAD & Dyeline’s: Creates precise flat patterns (dyeline’s) with cuts, folds, and scores for production.
Material Selection: Chooses appropriate corrugated board (flute type, strength) for product needs.
Collaboration: Works with sales, graphic designers, and production to meet project goals.
Structural Integrity: Ensures designs protect products during transit and handling.
Cost-Effectiveness: Optimizes designs for efficient production and material usage.
Support production press side during production operations.
Transfer files to customers/add agencies
Make sales calls and customer presentations
Perform various industry testing methods
Required Skills & Qualifications
3-5 years’ experience with structural design in packaging manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Artios CAD, Adobe Illustrator).
Understanding of corrugated board properties and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in the following computer software: Windows, Excel, Outlook, Adobe
Ability to see and work in a 3D environment
Basic math skills
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Attention to detail for accurate dyelines creation.
Ability to work within a team atmosphere on a project basis in a fast‑paced environment.
CAD software and CAD cutting table Windows-based computer systems
Basic hand tools (dead blow hammer, knives, tape guns, hot glue guns)
