Marketing Event Assistant – Overview The University of Alaska Anchorage Department of Athletics is seeking a Marketing Event Assistant to support event presentations, game‑day operations, and promotions.

Responsibilities

Assist with social media and marketing campaigns.

Coordinate community events and promotional materials.

Support donor and sponsor relations.

Produce correspondence and documents using Google Workspace (Gmail) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

Work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours this semester, or have completed six UA credit hours in the preceding semester and plan to enroll again.

Work hours must not interfere with class attendance.

Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.

Complete GNAC and NCAA required learning modules within 30 days of start date.

Complete UA Safe Title IX certification within 30 days of start date.

Excellent organization and proficiency with social media platforms.

Ability to work independently and in team environments.

Position Details Location: UAA campus, Anchorage. Part‑time, non‑exempt student position, up to 20 hours/week. Pay: $11.88 per hour.
