The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented estimating professional with strong heavy civil experience. Working closely with operations and executive leadership, the new hire will enhance bid competitiveness by preparing detailed estimates while evaluating risks and ensuring constructibility and financial performance.

Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for mass earthwork and site packages. Develop production-based cost estimates using realistic productivity assumptions. Analyze geotechnical reports and civil drawings. Price equipment, trucking, fuel, labor, and material components accurately. Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier quotes. Participate in bid strategy discussions and risk review meetings. Support negotiated and hard-bid pursuits. Review contracts and identify commercial risks in collaboration with leadership. Maintain historical cost databases and benchmarking tools. Assist with turnover meetings to operations post-award. Requirements
5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or earthworks Strong understanding of mass grading, cut/fill balancing, haul routes, and productivity modelling Ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications, and geotechnical data Murray Resources
