We are seeking
Technical Designers (Levels 3, 4, and 5)
to support
commercial aircraft programs
across the full airplane lifecycle — from design and production through fleet support.
This role is ideal for individuals with
aerospace drafting and 3D modeling experience
who thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative engineering environment and enjoy translating engineering concepts into precise product definitions.
Technical Designers will work closely with
Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Stress, and Supplier teams
to resolve product and process issues while supporting design improvements and production needs.
Key Responsibilities
Apply drafting principles and design concepts to support solutions for product and process issues in the fabrication flow
Create drafted parts and product structures supporting operational and quality requirements
Perform model definition updates based on engineering inputs, translating conceptual ideas into part geometry and assembly definitions
Provide materials and process support to commercial airplane programs throughout the aircraft lifecycle
Support definition and evaluation of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components used across aircraft systems
Review materials and process specifications used to certify and produce systems hardware
Identify impacts of component non‑conformances and support corrective and preventative actions
Conduct engineering lab or failure analysis to determine root cause of failed components
Collaborate with engineering teams including
Design, Stress, Manufacturing, Quality, and Suppliers
to resolve materials and process challenges
Produce requirements, specifications, and technical documentation supporting deployment of tools, equipment, parts, and processes
Participate in cross‑functional engineering environments supporting design improvements and product lifecycle activities
Maintain strong technical standards while working in a fast‑paced, agile environment
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree in drafting, engineering technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Experience with
computer‑aided design (CAD)
and product structure development (details, parts, assemblies, installations)
Understanding of
machining of metallic parts
Experience with
CATIA
or equivalent 3D solid modeling software
Experience using
Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT)
or similar tools
Experience Requirements Technical Designer Level 3
3+ years of aerospace design experience
Experience working with detail and assembly parts
Technical Designer Level 4
6+ years of aerospace design experience
Advanced experience supporting design, fabrication, and product lifecycle activities
Technical Designer Level 5
9+ years of aerospace design experience
Advanced experience supporting aircraft programs across the product lifecycle
Education
Accredited AA degree in related discipline and typically:
Level 3:
3+ years of related experience
Level 4:
6+ years of related experience
Level 5:
9+ years of related experience
