Entry Level Mechanical Designer - Multiple Sectors

Position Overview
As an entry level mechanical designer at Henderson Engineers, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to our six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Key Responsibilities
Perform calculations and design basic engineering systems in collaboration with experienced design staff.
Prepare system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
Prepare or modify reports, plans, and designs for projects.
Support business development or pursuit activities.
Participate in client, company, and/or industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.
Occasionally visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Seek to fill gaps in industry and/or discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.
Maintain knowledge of common industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) and one year of experience, or 3 years of experience without a degree.
Basic proficiency in engineering design: fundamental knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards.
Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu software preferred.
Understanding of the fundamental principles of HVAC design.
Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
