Caterpillar is hiring a

Localized Marketing Manager

for our Building Construction Product (BCP) division, supporting Cat Compact.

Role Summary In this role, you will be an expert on marketing initiatives and dealer marketing to support Cat Compact execution.

What You’ll Do

Serve as the primary consultant to dealers with Cat Compact locations on marketing tactics designed to attract customers into Cat Compact stores, with a focus on increasing walk‑in traffic, lead volume, and retail conversions.

Lead, develop, and coach one or more team members, fostering strong capability in both strategic planning and execution; balance people leadership with hands‑on contribution as a working manager.

Advise dealers on effective use of marketing tools, brand guidelines, and customer engagement strategies to ensure consistency and maximize campaign impact.

Troubleshoot issues related to marketing execution, campaign performance, and customer response, enabling quick resolution and continuous improvement.

Support the dealership in identifying new customer acquisition and demand generation opportunities by leveraging Cat marketing assets and tools.

Collaborate with stakeholders across BCP Retail, Marketing, Rental & Used, and BCP Services to align local dealer activation with broader Cat Compact retail strategies and programs.

What You’ll Have

Proven experience planning and executing multi-channel marketing communications across digital, paid media, social, email, events, instore, and community engagement.

Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Creativity:

Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans across the marketing funnel, from awareness to conversion to loyalty. Knowledge of the approaches, tools, and techniques for promoting creative, original thinking and ability to apply it to a variety of business solutions.

Effective Communications:

Understanding effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Relationship Management:

Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Strategic Thinking:

Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans across the marketing funnel, from awareness to conversion to loyalty.

Vendor/Supplier Management:

Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).

Top Candidates Will Have:

Experience tracking campaign performance using KPIs, dashboards, or reporting tools and translating insights into actionable improvements.

Experience supporting field teams, dealers, or distributors with tools, playbooks, assets, and guidance to execute marketing locally.

Industry, agency, or dealer experience.

Previous supervisory experience.

A college degree or equivalent experience.

Summary Pay Range $147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

This position requires working onsite five days a week. Relocation is available for this position. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
