
Vistix Sales Agent
City of Vista, Vista, CA, United States
Under the direction of the Ticket Office Supervisor, the VisTix Sales Agent is responsible for selling tickets for performances at the Moonlight Amphitheatre and the AVO Playhouse in Vista, CA.
Selling single tickets and subscriptions at our main VisTix Ticket Office, located at the Vista Civic Center, Monday through Friday (as scheduled), as well as at our onsite box offices at the Moonlight Amphitheatre and AVO Playhouse on performance days
Distributing Will Call tickets on day of performance
Processing cash, check, and credit card transactions
Preparing end-of-day Closed Batch Report to account for sales
Providing customer service by communicating ticket prices, special discounts, show information, and seating availability to patrons
Enforcing house rules and policies
Any combination of training and experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities stated above and the ability to perform the duties of the position is qualifying.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, or be currently enrolled in an educational institution, working toward obtaining a diploma or G.E.D. Previous box office or customer service experience preferred. Any combination of training and experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities stated above, and the ability to perform the duties of the position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of general office procedures. Familiarity with computers; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook a plus
Possession of basic math skills
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to prepare reports related to ticket sales
Ability to work cooperatively with the public and fellow employees, in an enthusiastic and constructive manner
Ability to evaluate emergency situations and to act decisively and effectively to resolve them
Ability to maintain personal cleanliness and neatness of appearance
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, evenings, and split shifts, depending on program needs. Must be able to work comfortably in the confined space of a ticket booth.
Persons hired must wear the standard required apparel as prescribed by the Recreation and Community Services Department.
