Job Title BIM Designer

Job Description We are seeking a skilled BIM Designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the BIM Manager to develop strategies for integrating BIM Modeling into Design and Prefabrication. You will review and resolve clashes with other trades and actively participate in coordination meetings. This position requires working closely with the BIM Manager and Project Managers to address issues identified during meetings. You will analyze project BIM requirements and identify strategies for successful BIM/detailing implementation. You will model and coordinate projects at a 500 Level of Design (LOD) and ensure that routings and clearances with other trades are understood, eliminating obstructions. Additionally, you will identify BIM lessons learned and participate in educational meetings within the department. Adhering to BIM standards and implementation plans is crucial, as is working with field personnel on‑site and performing site surveys and field measurements to support conceptual and design drawing efforts. You will also create and revise submittal documents and perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

Experience with BIM, electrical systems, and modeling.

Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and drafting.

Construction document creation.

Minimum of two years related construction industry experience.

Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Knowledge of BIM360 and/or Autodesk Cloud is an advantage.

Work Environment The work environment involves advanced modeling and creating shop drawings for construction projects. Coordination with Project Managers, vendors, engineers, and field personnel is essential. Autodesk software and various third‑party applications are used for design. The company is family‑owned and has a history dating back to 1908, with a BIM team led by an experienced manager and three additional designers. The work involves local and expanded market projects, including data center, site utility work, and electrical projects. Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Willowbrook, IL.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $80,000 – $120,000 per year.
