SALARY:

The hourly rate for this position is $43.29.

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a temporary forms and translations designer to coordinate, develop and design forms and translated materials. Under the direction of the Administrative Supervisor 3 (Supervisor of Automated Forms/Translations Unit), the detailed-oriented individual will work independently and autonomously while using creative critical thinking and problem-solving skills to execute and facilitate forms and translated design projects from conception to completion. These include the design and layout of new and existing forms and translations; meeting with AOC and vicinage forms liaisons to develop, articulate, prioritize, and troubleshoot forms and translations for print, digital and dynamic needs for both internal and external users.

Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Redesign dynamic and static forms autonomy in multiple programs.

Coordinate technical standards and branding to new and existing forms and translations.

Facilitate and manage technical issues while researching and staying up to date on forms-related technologies.

NOTE: Experience with forms design and/or working with translated materials is a plus; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and HTML software such as AEM Forms Designer 6.5, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher are preferred.

This position is limited to a maximum of 944 hours in a fiscal year.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience, two of which shall be in program development, program coordination, program analysis, program administration and/or administrative research.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

A master’s degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of experience.

Note: A master’s degree or a law degree from an accredited college or university, may be used as a substitution, not both.

Physical Ability:

For some positions, applicants must have the ability to perform work which requires climbing and prolonged standing, stretching, bending and reaching. The selected candidate must be able to frequently lift and carry supplies weighing from 30 to 50 pounds and, occasionally, materials weighing up to 75 pounds.

Driver's License:

Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

Authorization to Work:

US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.

Residency Law:

In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
