Tax Senior Manager - Tax Director (Alternative Investments)
Candidates should have a deep understanding of the following:
- Filing requirements related to alternative investment and/or registered investment companies (RIC's)
- Partnership taxation to ensure completeness and accuracy of tax compliance and reporting
- Knowledge of key tax issues associated with alternative investment firms, including tax positions referenced by service providers and the impact of potential legislative and regulatory changes
Required Background and Skills:
- Bachelorâs in Accounting or related field; Masters or LLM a plus
- CPA or Bar
- 8+ years of tax related experience (prior Big-4 firm experience preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with leadership and outside partners
- Strong interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain relationships service providers, team members, or other members of the firm
- Exceptional excel skills
- Ability to partner collaboratively with other departments including Finance, Legal
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple time sensitive ad hoc projects at once
- Interest in Improving the tax function by identifying and implementing strategic methodologies or automation tools to improve efficiencies within the department
