Milacron is looking for a Global Director, Tactical Supply Chain to join our team in Batavia, OH . The Director of Tactical Supply Chain is responsible for leading and managing the global tactical supply team members in all Milacron manufacturing locations. This senior position will work to create best practice and standard work that will be supported by work instructions and policies. The Director of Tactical Supply Chain will work closely with other functions including the Global Supply Chain team (Strategic Supply Director, Supplier Development Manager, Supply Chain Process Excellence Manager, and Global Compliance Manager) to drive supplier management, quality, delivery, and innovation improvements

Work You'll Do:

  • Manage and develop the tactical supply team members to perform at a high level and continuously improve.
  • Drive efficiency and standardization to improve productivity within the supply team.
  • Identify and create new systems and tools to allow the tactical team to be more efficient. (Supplier Portals / EDI / RPA (Robotic Process Automation)/ JDE enhancements / Auto Allocation, etc.)
  • Create one global tactical supply team with best practice and standard work and KPI’s.
  • Responsible to drive inventory management processes (PFEP) and hit annual raw material reduction goals.
  • Monitor overall supplier On-Time-Delivery (OTD) performance as well as other Key Performance Indicators monthly. Identify trends or poor performing suppliers and take action as necessary including developing Recovery Plans and process improvements when needed.
  • Participate in Supplier scorecards and facilitate Supply team reviews with suppliers. (Monthly and quarterly)
  • Ensure purchase orders are placed with the recommended suppliers to meet capacity levels and category strategies utilizing the TCO to optimize freight, tariffs, and part cost to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Provide recommendations to strategic Sourcing team based on specific supplier performance & capacity. Documents and communicates supply disruptions and delivery targets to appropriate internal customers, as well as top management at suppliers.
  • Work with other departments as necessary to meet operational and customer needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, emerging supply chain practices, and innovative sourcing solutions.
  • Drive accountability and process improvements to ensure achievement of financial and operational targets.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical ability.
  • Financial and business acumen with ability to link strategy to execution.
  • Leadership skills to manage and develop diverse teams.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, supply chain processes, and quality systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership roles.
  • Experience managing diverse teams and leading enterprise-level sourcing initiatives.
  • MBA preferred.
