The Senior Program Manager serves as a senior execution leader within the Transformation Program Operations team, accountable for ensuring that ADUSA\'s most critical programs are planned, governed, and delivered with rigor, transparency, and discipline. This role leads complex, cross‑functional initiatives while managing and developing a team of Program Managers, establishing consistent standards for delivery, reporting, and risk management. Operating across business and technology domains, the Senior Program Manager provides senior‑level insight to sponsors and executives, anticipates interdependencies and constraints, and drives timely, informed decision‑making. The role exists to ensure enterprise initiatives deliver intended outcomes, maintain stakeholder confidence, and advance organizational maturity in program execution.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end execution of complex, enterprise‑level programs, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, resources, and outcomes are actively planned, governed, and delivered in alignment with strategic objectives
  • Lead, develop, and coach a team Program Managers, setting clear expectations, reviewing plans and reporting, removing obstacles, and holding teams accountable to PMO standards and delivery commitments
  • Establish and enforce consistent PMO delivery discipline across internal and external teams, including planning artifacts, status reporting, dependency tracking, risk and issue management, and deliverable quality across assigned programs
  • Anticipate, manage, and resolve cross‑program dependencies, risks, and capacity constraints, working across business, technology, organizational readiness/change, and external partners to enable informed trade‑offs and timely decisions
  • Provide senior‑level transparency to executive sponsors and governance forums, translating complex program data into clear insights, recommendations, and decision support materials
  • Facilitate program governance and decision‑making, ensuring accurate preparation of materials, disciplined follow‑up on actions and decisions, and adherence to enterprise governance and change control processes
  • Partner with organizational readiness/change, technology, and business leaders to ensure program plans integrate required change, training, and readiness activities without diluting delivery accountability
  • Drive continuous improvement of program management capabilities, leading internal initiatives that strengthen program management processes, tools, templates, and performance metrics
  • Model strong leadership, communication, and execution behaviors, fostering trust, collaboration, and accountability across stakeholders while reinforcing a high‑performance delivery culture
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our values

Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, project management, operations, technology, or related field
  • 6-10+ years of progressively increasing experience leading complex, cross‑functional projects or programs, including accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and delivery outcomes.
  • PMP Certification or ability to obtain PMP Certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing other project or program managers, including reviewing plans, enforcing standards, and driving delivery consistency.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within formal PMO or TMO governance structures, including executive steering committees, stage‑gate reviews, and change control processes.
  • Strong expertise in program planning, integrated scheduling, dependency management, risk and issue escalation, and executive reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across business, technology, & operations in a highly matrixed environment, without relying on direct authority.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex program information into clear, concise insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous, and matrixed environments with shared ownership and evolving transformation scope.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master\'s degree in business, project management, operations, technology, or related field
  • Experience leading large‑scale transformation programs (e.g., operating model changes, digital/technology initiatives, business process redesign, enterprise capability building).
  • Experience working across predictive (waterfall), agile, or hybrid delivery models

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $120,960 - $181,440

IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $139,120 - $208,680
