Position Summary:
The Executive Director of Occupational Medicine serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for setting the vision, direction, and performance of NKCH’s occupational medicine program. This executive oversees daily operations while driving the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and innovative services that support workforce safety, well-being, and productivity.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of the Medical Group, the Executive Director oversees two clinical locations generating approximately 25,000 annual visits and $5 million in revenue. In addition, this leader coordinates occupational health services across the NKC Health system, currently producing more than $25 million in occupational health–related charges.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to scale and expand a critical service line within a highly respected and growing health system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Occupational Medicine, driving growth, service expansion, and sustainable revenue.
- Oversee clinical operations, staffing, budgeting, and system-wide coordination to ensure high-quality, efficient service delivery.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and implement best practices aligned with federal, state, and industry standards.
- Build and strengthen employer, corporate, community, and internal partnerships to advance workforce health initiatives.
- Lead performance management, team development, and continuous improvement through KPI monitoring and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in occupational medicine, employee health, or a related healthcare setting.
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or Business (MBA, MHA, MPH preferred).
- Proven track record in strategic planning, operational management, and scaling service lines or business functions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA, and related occupational health regulations; experience with EMR systems.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
