Executive Director / Licensed Administrator

Salary: $95,000 – $100,000 + Bonus Potential

Start Date: End of March 2026 (Approx.)

Overview

A privately owned, family-run senior living provider is seeking a Licensed Administrator / Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential assisted living community.

Unlike large corporate environments, this role offers the opportunity to work within a close-knit, family-style organization where the Executive Director has meaningful autonomy and the ability to shape the culture, processes, and resident experience.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys being present within the community, building relationships with residents and families, and leading a small team to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the assisted living community
  • Lead and manage care staff, housekeeping, and support teams
  • Ensure compliance with all state and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare partners
  • Manage staff scheduling, payroll oversight, and operational processes
  • Monitor occupancy and assist with family tours and move-ins
  • Maintain high standards of resident satisfaction and quality of care
  • Implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accountability

Requirements

  • Active Assisted Living Administrator License (Virginia)
  • Experience managing or supervising within an assisted living or senior care environment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, operational leadership role
  • Experience with family engagement and occupancy development is highly valued
  • LPN license is beneficial but not required

Compensation

  • Salary: $95,000 – $100,000 depending on experience
  • Performance Bonus: Based on operational benchmarks such as occupancy, compliance, and resident satisfaction
  • Benefits: At present, the organization does not offer a traditional benefits package such as health insurance or a 401(k) . However, the owners are open to discussing individual arrangements where appropriate.
