Overview
A privately owned, family-run senior living provider is seeking a Licensed Administrator / Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential assisted living community.
Unlike large corporate environments, this role offers the opportunity to work within a close-knit, family-style organization where the Executive Director has meaningful autonomy and the ability to shape the culture, processes, and resident experience.
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys being present within the community, building relationships with residents and families, and leading a small team to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the assisted living community
- Lead and manage care staff, housekeeping, and support teams
- Ensure compliance with all state and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare partners
- Manage staff scheduling, payroll oversight, and operational processes
- Monitor occupancy and assist with family tours and move-ins
- Maintain high standards of resident satisfaction and quality of care
- Implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accountability
Requirements
- Active Assisted Living Administrator License (Virginia)
- Experience managing or supervising within an assisted living or senior care environment
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a hands-on, operational leadership role
- Experience with family engagement and occupancy development is highly valued
- LPN license is beneficial but not required

Compensation
- Salary: $95,000 – $100,000 depending on experience
- Performance Bonus: Based on operational benchmarks such as occupancy, compliance, and resident satisfaction
- Benefits: At present, the organization does not offer a traditional benefits package such as health insurance or a 401(k) . However, the owners are open to discussing individual arrangements where appropriate.
