Director of Business Development – Aircraft Acquisition
Location: East Coast Hybrid / Remote (Travel Required)

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Business Development to drive growth in Part 135 aircraft management . This is a hunter-focused role responsible for outbound prospecting, pipeline development, and client acquisition.
The Director identifies and qualifies aircraft owners and strategic intermediaries, builds high-value relationships, and schedules executive-level meetings for senior leadership. Opportunities are advanced through a structured CRM pipeline, with late-stage negotiations handled by executive leadership.
Ideal candidates are results-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable engaging UHNW individuals and professional intermediaries .
Core Responsibilities
- Identify aircraft owners aligned with the management model.
- Research tail numbers, ownership entities, operating patterns, and management history.
- Target Part 91 operators suitable for Part 135 conversion.
- Build and maintain networks through brokers, OEM representatives, attorneys, CPAs, and family offices.
- Maintain a disciplined outbound cadence via email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry events.
CRM & Pipeline Discipline (HubSpot)
- Maintain accurate lead tracking in HubSpot or similar CRM systems.
- Report weekly pipeline value and executive meeting metrics.
- Ensure clean data and consistent follow-up cadence.
Executive Meeting Generation
- Qualify prospects before engagement with senior leadership.
- Prepare executive briefing summaries prior to meetings.
- Schedule and coordinate strategic meetings with aircraft owners and intermediaries.
- Drive post-meeting follow-up actions to ensure opportunity progression.
- Monitor competitor aircraft management companies.
- Track fleet movements, aircraft transactions, and brokerage listings.
- Identify aircraft for sale suitable for Part 135 management.
- Provide strategic insights and market intelligence to leadership.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience in aircraft sales, aircraft management, or aviation business development.
- Understanding of Part 91 and Part 135 operations preferred.
- Proven outbound sales discipline with a track record of generating high-value opportunities.
- Comfortable engaging UHNW individuals and intermediaries.
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
- Strong research skills, attention to detail, and professional executive presence.
Compensation Structure
- Base Salary: $100K–$150K per year
- Commission / Tiered Bonus: $50K–$100K per year, based on aircraft successfully added to the fleet
- Additional bonus structure subject to management discretion
What This Role Is Not
- Not responsible for onboarding aircraft management.
- Not responsible for leaseback statement review.
- Not responsible for operational fleet oversight.
