Overview
Sr. Director, Software Engineering (Big Data, AI/ML)
As a Senior Director overseeing the technical integration of one of the largest banking mergers, you will spearhead the migration of millions of accounts and TBs of data to our modern cloud ecosystem. You will leverage a premier AWS ETL suite and pioneer the use of AI tools to automate the conversion lifecycle, including data mapping and anomaly detection, ensuring data integrity that will underpin future conversions. This is a high-impact opportunity to define the future of our unified platform and deliver a seamless transition for millions of customers.
You will
- Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product-focused software engineers
- Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team
- Work with product managers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
- Continuously improve software engineering practices
- Collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack
- Lead craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions
- Stay current with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor other engineers
- Encourage innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
- Improve velocity across teams and deploy applications into AWS environments
- Break monolithic applications into microservices and build new microservices
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 9 years of software development experience
- At least 7 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 13+ years of software development experience
- 8+ years of Agile practices
- 5+ years of Big Data Technologies
- 5+ years of AI/ML experience and knowledge of agentic tools and frameworks
- 2+ years of experience with AWS suites
- 2+ years of experience leading large-scale data migrations

The salary information is location-specific and provided for candidates hired to work in listed locations. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated.
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location. This role may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
