This position is a senior product and growth leader responsible for Whataburger’s end-to-end digital commerce ecosystem, including first-party digital ordering, third-party delivery marketplaces, and order fulfillment across web, mobile app, kiosks, and delivery platforms. This role owns the product vision, growth strategy, and operating model for omnichannel ordering and fulfillment, ensuring experiences are intuitive for guests, scalable for restaurant teams, and profitable for the business, while delivering digital experiences that drive growth, enable execution, and feel unmistakably Whataburger.

Primary Location:

  • San Antonio Home Office - Monday through Thursday in-office and Friday remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Set the product vision and growth strategy for Whataburger’s end-to-end digital commerce ecosystem, spanning first-party ordering, third-party marketplaces, and omnichannel fulfillment.
  • Own the omnichannel roadmap across web, mobile app, kiosks, and delivery platforms, balancing guest experience, revenue growth, and restaurant execution.
  • Drive digital performance outcomes including conversion, frequency, average check, digital mix, marketplace contribution, and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead first-party digital ordering and fulfillment strategy, ensuring reliable, accurate, and fast experiences from order placement through handoff.
  • Own third-party marketplace strategy and performance, including partner relationships, growth initiatives, marketing optimization, pricing, promotions, and operational quality.
  • Oversee digital menu, catalog, and pricing foundations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and operational feasibility across all channels and stores.
  • Advance experimentation and optimization across 1P and 3P platforms to improve conversion, speed, order accuracy, and overall digital effectiveness.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Technology, and Marketing to align digital capabilities with restaurant realities and scalable execution.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team and operating model, establishing clear KPIs, decision frameworks, and accountability while modeling Whataburger values.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Experience:

  • 10+ Years’ experience with digital, eCommerce preferred
  • Experience with direct ownership of first-party and third-party commerce performance, including fulfillment, marketplace growth, and P&L or KPI accountability.
  • Experience scaling digital commerce during periods of rapid growth, transformation, or platform modernization.
  • Experience in QSR, retail, or hospitality environments with high-volume, multi-location operations preferred

Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:

  • Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
  • Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs
  • Must be able to work a full-time schedule and work outside of normal business hours when necessary
  • Some travel, both locally and long distances, (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations may be necessary
