We are seeking a Memory Care experienced Executive Director to lead with heart and purpose in a community where compassionate care makes a difference. As the Executive Director of our intimate memory care community in North Glendale, you'll guide a dedicated team to create a safe, engaging, and meaningful environment for residents living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. You will oversee daily operations, develop and inspire team members, ensure exceptional resident and family experiences, and maintain high standards of quality and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

  • Lead the community's daily operations, associate relations, resident and resident family engagement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Create and execute the business plan and develop the team to become a preferred senior living community in the market, while growing revenue and profitability in partnership with the district team.
  • Work with sales to drive sales results and create an inclusive community culture that provides high-quality resident experiences and care, engaging residents, families, and associates.
  • Operate the community with appropriate staffing levels to meet resident needs and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Attract, develop, engage, and retain associates; recruit and hire high-quality staff and ensure they are trained and developed to meet resident needs; review promotions and disciplinary actions with consistency in selection and retention; analyze recruiting trends and turnover to improve performance.
  • Maintain high levels of resident satisfaction and retention; be accessible to residents and families; solve problems proactively with district support; leverage satisfied residents to grow occupancy; partner with Resident Council as needed; administer surveys and implement improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with the clinical leader in memory care to ensure services meet residents' needs; oversee admission processes, healthcare management, and resident documentation to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrate financial acumen to meet or exceed budgeted revenue and profitability; develop plans to address expenses or revenue shortfalls; explore revenue opportunities and cost efficiencies while adhering to policies and regulations.
  • Drive sales and marketing efforts with the district and community teams to meet or exceed occupancy targets; engage with prospective residents and families; implement approved marketing activities to maximize revenue.
  • Build relationships with local influencers and professionals to raise the community's profile; participate in local civic affairs aligned with the company's mission; represent the community to government agencies, professional organizations, and other groups as appropriate.
  • Ensure buildings and grounds meet company standards through preventative maintenance oversight and regular inspections.
  • Enforce company policies and maintain licenses in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum of two years in operational leadership experience required. Additional years of experience can substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Certifications, Licenses, And Other Special Requirements
Must have a valid administrator license in states where required. Must have a valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for business use.

Management/Decision Making
Uses analytic skills to handle problems and issues; leads overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of resident care, marketing, food service, housekeeping, and maintenance units; carries out supervisory responsibilities per company policies and laws.

Knowledge And Skills
Knowledge of the organization and industry; strong communication, prioritization, delegation, and problem-solving skills; proficient with Microsoft software is preferred.
