JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Landscape Development oversees all commercial, residential, and irrigation operations. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, supervising field leadership and crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards. The Director drives efficiency, productivity, and profitability while maintaining strong client relationships across all customer accounts. Responsibilities also include employee development, safety compliance, and collaboration with company leadership to support growth and operational excellence. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversight of the division schedule, which includes partnering with the branch Operations Administrator (OA) to ensure all jobs are properly entered into Aspire for the purpose of scheduling and billing.
- Ensuring that division crews are properly prepared for an efficient and effective workday. This ranges from having work tickets available in Aspire to having the right job materials available.
- Ensuring quality control on every job site from grading through final inspection
- Understanding the scope of work for all jobs and ensuring that the company has sufficient customer POs, contracts, and changing order documentation for all work performed.
- Working with the branch OA on submission of accurate and timely invoicing. This requires a clear understanding of two different billing systems: 1) the purchase order/work order process for residential installation projects and 2) the AIA progress billing process for commercial installation projects.
- Meeting with clients to foster trust-based relationships
- Providing vision and direction to your team with support, training, and leadership that supports growth of team members.
