Executive Director Mills County Historical Museum

Part-time Museum Director 20 hours/week (experience preferred but will train)

The Museum Director managesthe daily operations of the museum. Working under the direction of the Mills County Historical Society Board.This position ensures a welcoming experience, well-maintained collections and cataloging, and smooth coordination of programs, events and volunteers.

Qualifications

Experience with customer service, museums, and volunteer coordination.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable speaking with groups.

Interest in local history, museums or cultural preservation.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Basic computer skills (email, calendars, data entry). Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.

Ability to lift and move materials related to exhibits or events.

Available to work weekends, special events, and occasional evenings.

Wage based on experience.
