About the Organization

Children’s Center is a private, nonprofit Children’s Advocacy Center accredited by the National Children’s Alliance, working with the Clackamas County community to end child abuse and neglect through assessment, treatment, and prevention. Our vision is to build a world where all children feel safe, valued, and heard. At Children’s Center, WE CARE—for the children and families we serve, for ourselves, for each other, and for our community.

Children’s Center provides compassionate, trauma centered care to children and families experiencing suspected physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and neglect, including drug endangerment and exposure to violence. We meet our mission by providing comprehensive Assessments that include medical examinations, forensic interviews and family support services. Our therapy team provides Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to children who have experienced the trauma of abuse and neglect, and our prevention program delivers community-based outreach and education designed to prevent abuse and strengthen protective factors across the community.
