Overview
The Senior Director, SAP S/4HANA Platform provides executive-level leadership for the organization’s SAP S/4HANA environment, ensuring the platform delivers measurable business outcomes and supports long-term enterprise technology strategy. This role oversees the direction, governance, and ongoing evolution of the SAP ecosystem, aligning business priorities with scalable architecture and modern delivery practices. Working closely with senior leadership, this individual ensures the SAP platform continues to mature following major transformation initiatives while enabling operational efficiency and future growth.

- Eden Prairie, MN – Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Pay Range
- $200K - $220K base salary + bonus + long term incentives

Roles & Responsibilities
- Enterprise SAP Strategy
- Define and lead the long-term vision and roadmap for the SAP S/4HANA platform, including cloud deployment strategies and evolving SAP ecosystem capabilities.
- Align SAP capabilities with business priorities across functions such as finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial operations.
- Identify opportunities to simplify system design, improve scalability, and reduce platform complexity over time.
- Architecture & Technology Alignment
- Represent the SAP environment within enterprise architecture discussions and governance forums.
- Partner with enterprise architecture leaders to evaluate new technology approaches and ensure alignment with broader IT standards.
- Maintain architectural integrity of the SAP landscape while supporting innovation and modernization initiatives.
- Data & Integration Enablement
- Collaborate with data and analytics leaders to ensure SAP data structures support trusted reporting, analytics, and enterprise insights.
- Promote consistent data governance and quality standards across integrated systems and business processes.
- Oversee integration approaches connecting SAP to internal and external platforms.
- Platform Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Lead operational support and continuous improvement of the SAP platform through internal teams and external service providers.
- Encourage modern delivery models including Agile and product-oriented approaches to platform enhancements.
- Establish metrics to measure adoption, system reliability, delivery performance, and business impact.
- Business Partnership & Value Realization
- Partner with senior business leaders to identify opportunities where SAP capabilities can drive operational improvements, revenue opportunities, or cost efficiencies.
- Ensure technology investments within the SAP ecosystem are aligned to measurable outcomes.
- Provide strategic guidance on how enterprise platforms support broader organizational goals.
- Team Leadership & Vendor Governance
- Develop and mentor a team of SAP platform leaders and architects.
- Manage strategic relationships with SAP partners, integrators, and solution providers.
- Oversee budget planning and financial stewardship for SAP operations and initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of experience leading enterprise SAP environments
- Proven track record delivering large-scale SAP ERP programs and implementations; Must have S/4HANA expertise, in production
- Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, platform capabilities, and ecosystem technologies.
- Experience guiding cross-functional teams and external partners in complex enterprise environments.
- Ability to translate business priorities into scalable technology solutions and platform strategy.
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
