Overview

Product Marketing Director (Finance) – Leads the overall product and marketing strategy for Overhead Door Corporation's Access Systems Division (ASD) product portfolio. Oversees the full product lifecycle, portfolio planning, and the cross-functional team responsible for driving growth, profitability and market leadership. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in product development, product management, or product marketing within a manufacturing or industrial environment is required; demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and managing broad product portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary business owner for multiple product lines across all lifecycle stages, making strategic adjustments to drive sustained market success.
  • Oversee marketing strategy and business development activities, including promotion, sales enablement, positioning, pricing, and launch execution to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans outlining short and long-term objectives focused on market share, revenue growth, and margin optimization.
  • Lead market research initiatives to evaluate customer needs, trends, and competitive dynamics to guide product definition and portfolio strategy.
  • Collaborate with distribution and channel partners to inform product evolution, positioning and execution.
  • Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of the long-term product roadmap for the commercial portfolio.
  • Lead portfolio prioritization and resource allocation decisions based on market opportunity, customer value, and financial impact.
  • Develop data-driven business cases and clear business requirements for execution by technical product management teams.
  • Oversee day-to-day lifecycle management of in-market products, ensuring performance and cost objectives are achieved.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, operations, sales, finance, and marketing to ensure successful execution of the product strategy.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to measure financial and operational performance; act as internal expert on product line metrics.
  • Ensure compliance by partnering with quality, regulatory, and legal teams relevant to manufacturing and product standards.
  • Represent the product portfolio externally as a thought leader at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences.
  • Provide leadership and development for a team of product managers; partner with technical product management, engineering, and operations to deliver successful new products.
  • Build organizational capability and develop succession depth within the product and marketing team.
