Position Summary:
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Head of Procurement- Strategy based at our client’s headquarters in Seattle, WA. The client is a publicly traded, high-end retailer in the United States with multiple major labels.
The Head of Procurement Strategy will serve as the strategic leader with procurement responsibility for all indirect spend categories for our client, while also owning the IT Procurement Category. With a reporting line to the client’s Executive Leadership Team, this role will help define, align, and execute a cohesive procurement strategy. The position requires a senior procurement leader with strong IT category expertise, exceptional stakeholder engagement capabilities, and the ability to run complex, cross-functional initiatives with the client’s teams and LogicSource teams.
This role will report to the Managing Director, Sourcing & Procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aligned priorities and ways of working with client’s Executive Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with business leaders to deliver the end-to-end procurement strategy for all indirect spend categories, leveraging LogicSource’s Center of Excellence (COE) teams.
- Engage and align with client executives and stakeholders to establish annual procurement priorities, value targets, and operational expectations.
- Define the optimal role for LogicSource in supporting the indirect procurement agenda with clear scopes and measurable outcomes.
- Build governance models, engagement frameworks, and processes for seamless client-LogicSource collaboration.
- Identify opportunities to drive savings, efficiency, compliance, and improved supplier performance across indirect categories.
- Maintain a flexible approach to leading or supporting supplier negotiations; promote a one-team mentality with stakeholders.
- Align with stakeholders on cost savings priorities and value creation opportunities; apply one-team methodology to capture and report results.
IT Category Ownership
- Aligned priorities with client IT Leadership; serve as IT Procurement Category Lead for the full lifecycle of technology procurement (software, hardware, cloud, telecom, IT services).
- Partner with IT leadership to co-develop a unified technology procurement strategy, including roadmaps, standards, supplier consolidation, and risk management.
- Lead and execute complex IT sourcing initiatives (platform renewals, software negotiations, cybersecurity, infrastructure modernization, managed services).
- Drive value beyond cost focusing on scalability, risk reduction, vendor performance, contract hygiene, and long-term technology optimization.
- Maintain a flexible approach to lead or support negotiations; promote a one-team mentality with stakeholders.
- Align with stakeholders on cost savings and value creation opportunities; apply one-team methodology to capture and report results.
Strategic Operations & Ways of Working
- Design and institutionalize the operating model, workflows, governance, communication channels, and decision rights for client-LogicSource collaboration on indirect procurement.
- Ensure consistent, transparent, and data-driven reporting, including performance dashboards and executive updates.
- Establish best practices, tools, and templates to elevate procurement maturity and stakeholder experience across the client enterprise.
- Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence across processes and supplier engagements.
- Maintain a client-satisfaction-centric mindset; be a trusted advisor and transparent in all activities.
Key Focus Areas:
Sourcing, Negotiation & Contract Outcomes
- Lead or support negotiation strategies and supplier positioning.
- Support complex, high-value, or highly sensitive negotiations.
- Review and support sourcing recommendations, supplier selections, and contract structures to ensure value realization and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders.
- Facilitate alignment across LogicSource procurement, finance, legal, and business teams.
- Engage with key suppliers to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Measures of Success
- Internal stakeholder satisfaction, trust, and transparency; recognition of results across business teams.
- Delivery of client value (savings, cost avoidance, and broader outcomes).
- Quality and impact of category strategies aligned to client priorities and timelines.
- Effectiveness of LogicSource teams/CoE utilization and execution.
- Strong supplier relationships and uninterrupted service; client seen as a preferred customer.
Category Responsibilities:
Client Advisory & Category Leadership
- Serve as primary strategic category leader and advisor for the assigned client/categories.
- Partner with client and functional leaders to understand objectives, constraints, and priorities.
- Translate client goals into clear category strategies, value levers, and execution roadmaps.
Category Strategy & Planning
- Own development and management of category strategies, including market analysis, spend diagnostics, supplier landscape assessments, and risk considerations.
- Lead annual and multi-year category planning with initiatives, savings targets, timelines, and success metrics.
- Refine category strategies based on market shifts, client needs, and performance results.
Center of Excellence (CoE) Orchestration
- Leverage a centralized CoE to deliver sourcing events, negotiations, and contract execution for the client.
- Set strategic direction and priorities for CoE resources aligned to client objectives.
- Provide governance, decision support, and quality oversight throughout sourcing and contracting cycles.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of strategic procurement experience with deep indirect categories and IT sourcing expertise.
- Proven track record partnering with senior executives and leading high-impact procurement initiatives.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor-management skills.
- Experience in multi-brand or matrixed environments preferred.
- Ability to build structure, governance, and scalable processes.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong commitment to client service and value creation; takes accountability and drives results through collaboration.
- Polished communicator and presenter, both formally and informally.
Travel: This position will require up to 15% travel.

Pay Range
$160,000 - $225,000 USD
