George Higginson is partnered with a specialist biologics CDMO is looking to appoint a Senior Director of Business Development to lead new client acquisition across North America.
This is a true hunter/prospect role focused on winning new programs with biotech and pharmaceutical companies developing biologics, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and bioconjugates .
The organization supports global biopharma partners across the full development lifecycle, including protein engineering, cell line development, biologics process development, and clinical-stage manufacturing . Their scientific teams are widely regarded for solving complex biologics challenges and accelerating programs into the clinic. With multiple U.S. development and manufacturing sites and strong momentum across the ADC and bioconjugate market, they are expanding their commercial team.
The Role:
You will be responsible for driving new business generation and building long-term partnerships with emerging and established biotech companies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and win new biologics development and manufacturing programs across North America
- Develop relationships with biotech leadership teams to position CDMO solutions across drug substance, biologics development, ADCs and bioconjugates
- Lead the full BD lifecycle : prospecting, opportunity qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract close
- Partner closely with internal scientific teams to position technical solutions that support client development strategies
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, partnering meetings and technical events
- Maintain pipeline visibility and forecasting within CRM systems

Required experience:
- Proven hunter mentality with a track record of winning new CDMO contracts
- Strong experience selling biologics drug substance services
- Direct exposure to ADCs, bioconjugates, or complex biologics modalities
- Experience selling development and manufacturing services to biotech/pharma companies
- Ability to lead complex commercial negotiations and close high-value scientific service agreements
